Interested in reaching the kids in your community in a systematic and intentional way?
You've come to the right place!
On this page, you'll find a summary of each phase of the evangelism cycle and how it applies to reaching out to the kids in your area - complete with resources you can use to get started right away.
This is where the work of preparation begins, both in the community as well as with your church members. In the community, do service-oriented activities that bring positive exposure to your church, without focusing on preaching or sharing your beliefs yet. Inside the church, get your evangelism cycle going by training members on how to find and then nurture spiritual interest.
Begin building your interest list by planting seeds of biblical truth in your community. Establish as many Bible studies as you can—it’ll help your church realize more success in each consecutive phase of the evangelism cycle. This is also the time to start holding bridge events for the community to connect with your church and God’s Word.
Continue helping your friends in the community grow as they develop towards baptism. The reality is that even with the full-message evangelistic campaign you hosted in Irrigate, you’ve got some (or many) contacts who need more time or nurturing. Activities and events that will help gently encourage their decisions for Christ are a great follow-up and work well in the Harvest phase.
After the harvest, the work doesn’t stop—it evolves. Assimilate your new members into the life of the church and ground them in the truth they’ve been learning about. As they continue to grow, they’ll find opportunities to share what they’ve learned with others . . . and the cycle begins again, with new energy to help reach others!
